To gather needed information, data loggers are attached to the air compressor for a minimum of 7-14 days in order to observe and record any trends and demand fluctuation throughout the normal week days as well as the weekend.
Data logging results can provide a good understanding of the current compressed air usage over a period of time, identify peaks and valleys in the air demand and provide guidance to improve the overall efficiency of the system.
Additionally, the data from an air audit can identify and advise on how to properly size an air compressor for current needs. If high demand fluctuation exists within a given system, a variable speed drive (VSD) air compressor could be utilized as a solution to obtain maximum energy savings while optimising the entire compressed air system operations.
Other than helping to properly size an air compressor, air audits can also further identify leaks, especially when production is down during the night or the weekend.

We compare different system concepts before we start building. To do this, our engineers make use of both CAD systems and a special stimulation tool, the latter of which can be used to calculate the efficiency of a planned system under real conditions. We develop customised heat recovery solutions for both oil-lubricated and oil-free compressors. Our solutions boast maximum levels of cost efficiency and are always optimally adapted to your individual requirements, allowing you to recover the maximum amount of heat possible. They have previously been used to achieve temperature increases from 70 °C to 95 °C.
You run a 160kW compressor with an average capacity utilisation of 70 per cent. Our solution enables you to recover 90 per cent of the energy input, which means the usable energy is 160kW x 70 % x 90% = 100 kW.
